As I try and struggle to find things to eat in this change of going from carnivore to vegetarian lol. I am trying to find things that I would like. Like a lot of people, I like certain comfort foods and pizza is one of them. So I wanted to share a recipe that I put together for you.
I have a bread maker, the best thing I ever bought lol. Anyways, I make my dough in the bread maker. This way I know what is going into the dough. It won't have a lot of preservatives in it and it's a simple basic recipe. If you don't have a breadmaker to make your dough with you can always buy fresh dough from a local grocery store. You can find fresh dough at the deli counter or the bakery.
So once you have your dough ready, roll it out onto a pizza pan. I have a stone pizza pan that I use and I just love it. I think I bought mine from the pampered chef years ago and it's the best one I've ever tried. I also have a stone rectangular one also that I use if I want to make a square pizza. Add your pizza sauce and spread it around to the outer edges. I just used a store-brand pizza sauce as I didn't have any homemade on hand. Then add your cheese, which can be either mozzarella that is either shredded or sliced. Top it off with some olives, mushrooms, and hot pickled peppers. Then bake it in a 375-degree oven for 30 mins.
Vegetarian Pizza
Pizza dough
1 small can of pizza sauce
11/2 cup of mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup of olives
1/2 cup mushrooms
1 cup hot pickled peppers
Now the ingredients are an estimate as I normally just eyeball it as to how much I want to add to my pizza. I normally like to have a lot of stuff on my pizza.
Enjoy!
