I love quick and easy recipes that don't take up a lot of my time. This Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe is just that. You can make these in no time at all and they will disappear just as fast. Make them with or without chocolate chips, that is your choice.
Other than the fact that oats are loaded with dietary fibre and the possible health benefits of oats include: reducing the risk of coronary artery disease, lowering levels of cholesterol, and reducing one’s risk of colorectal cancer. It is loaded with minerals and vitamins, plus oatmeal cookies are just a fun way to get those benefits.
To make your oatmeal cookies you will need to add butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl.
Combine the sugar and butter well and then add your egg and vanilla extract. Once everything is well mixed.
Add your flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and oatmeal to your bowl. Using an ice cream scoop, scoop the cookies and put them on either a lightly greased cookie sheet or parchment paper.
Bake them at 375 degrees for 7-8 mins. This depends on your oven so I would adjust the timing according to your oven.
